1) Will my insurance pay for your services?We participate with most health insurance carriers providing coverage in Massachusetts and the surrounding states including Workers' Compensation. In the event we don't participate with your health insurance plan you may be able to see one of our physicians using your out of network plan. Our staff will be able to assist you with your questions regarding benefit coverage for your health insurance plan.Top 2) If my insurance requires a referral from my Primary Care Physician (PCP), do I need to see my PCP first?Not necessarily. Most medical offices will tell you that it is the responsibility of the patient to get a referral from their PCP. However, in order to make the process easier for you, our staff will contact your PCP's office for you to get the referral and any relevant patient notes/test results. In some cases, your PCP may prefer to see you first before giving the referral. In that case, our staff will inform you of this and we will then wait to hear from you or your PCP's office to schedule an appointment.Top 3) I have had to wait several months to see other specialists - how long is the wait time to see one of your physicians?We have offices in Dedham, Duxbury, and Framingham. Our goal is to offer you an appointment within one to two weeks. The first visit for some patients may be dependent upon your health insurance plan's preauthorization process.Top 4) Are there any instructions I need to follow if I am having a procedure?Yes. Our staff will review your pre-procedure instructions at the time you schedule your appointment. The following are some general guidelines for all patients scheduled for a procedure. You should discontinue any medications containing aspirin and/or any anti-inflammatory medications for 5 to 7 days prior to your appointment and you must bring someone with you to drive you home. If you are taking any blood thinners such as Coumadin, Plavix, Ticlid or Lovenox, please contact our office for additional instructions. We will also ask that you not eat or drink for several hours prior to your procedure, but this time frame will vary and you should contact our office for your specific instructions.Top 5) Do you have parking? Handicap parking?Unlike the hospital setting where you may have to park you car in a separate garage and walk far distances to get to the office, all our offices have free parking right in front of the building with Handicap spaces available for those patients that need them. Additionally, all our office are handicap accessible.Top |
